About FireOps1

Built by firefighters who build software

FireOps1 is built by a captain, a past chief now serving as assistant chief, and a firefighter who's also an elected fire district commissioner — more than 30 years in the fire service and 60 years in IT between them. The people building it hold the same certifications as the members using it, and answer the same tones.

It started with a PDF for every call type

The response board PC at the firehouse had a PDF for each call type, each with its run order hard-coded in. Mike asked Bill to replace it with something more modern, and that request is what started FireOps1. Elizabeth shaped the Call Details page into what it is today and came up with the color palette.
