Privacy Policy
Effective August 5, 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Overview
This policy describes how Signal 30, LLC ("Signal30," "we," "us") collects and handles information through the FireOps1 platform — this website, the FireOps1 web application, member mobile apps, and station kiosk mode (together, the "Service"). The Service is intended for use in the United States. By using the Service you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.
2. Our role: your department controls its data
Most personal information in FireOps1 — member rosters, contact details, attendance and LOSAP records, training certificates, incident and response data — is entered by a fire department or received from its dispatch provider at the department's direction. For that data, the department decides what is collected and who may see it, and Signal30 processes it only to provide the Service.
If you are a department member with questions about your information in FireOps1 — or want it corrected or deleted — contact your department first. We support departments in honoring those requests.
3. What we collect
- Account information. Name, email address, phone number, role, and department when an account is created.
- Department-entered data. The operational records a department keeps in the Service: rosters and member contact information, attendance and LOSAP service records, training and certification documents, incident and run data, apparatus and inventory records, policies and documents, and check-in credentials such as RFID FOB identifiers and kiosk PINs.
- Dispatch data. Where a department enables a CAD or dispatch integration: incident details such as call type, location, times, and responding units.
- Payment information. Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. We receive confirmation and billing details but do not store full card numbers.
- Usage and device data. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected automatically when you use the Service.
- Communications. Messages you send us, such as support requests.
4. Cookies and analytics
This website and the Service use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and understand how the Service is used. We use Google Analytics on this website; you can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
5. How we use information
- To provide, secure, support, and bill for the Service.
- To send service communications — such as dispatch and activity notifications a department has configured, account notices, and renewal reminders.
- To improve the Service, including through de-identified, aggregated data that does not identify any person or department.
- To comply with law and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use department data for advertising.
6. When we share information
- Service providers that help us run the Service — cloud hosting, payment processing, email and push-notification delivery, analytics — under obligations to protect the data.
- At the department's direction — for example, exchanging data with the department's CAD or dispatch provider, or exports the department generates for LOSAP program sponsors or auditors.
- Legal reasons — to comply with law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Signal30, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers — in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where the successor remains bound by this policy.
7. Retention, export, and deletion
We keep information while an account is active and as needed for the purposes above. Departments can export their records at any time. When a department's paid subscription ends, its data remains exportable for 60 days and is then deleted within 90 days, except for copies in routine backups (which age out on a fixed schedule) or records we must keep by law — as described in the Terms of Service.
8. Security
We protect information with industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and role-based access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe an account or data has been compromised, contact support@FireOps1.com immediately.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Junior or cadet members under 18 may appear in department records only where the department has obtained any authorization or parental consent its policies or applicable law require.
10. No medical records
The Service is not designed for patient care records or other protected health information, and departments must not store them in it.
11. Your choices and rights
You can access and update your account information in the Service, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in the message. Depending on your state, you may have legal rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. For data your department controls (Section 2), we will refer your request to the department and support its response; for data Signal30 controls, email support@FireOps1.com and we will respond as applicable law requires.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes we will give notice by email or in-app notice before the change takes effect. The "Effective" date above always reflects the current version.
